Cancellations & Returns
The goods are bespoke and made-to-measure to your specification and requirements. As such they fall into the category of tailor-made products within the Consumer Contracts Regulations and hence you will not be able to cancel your order once placed. This will not affect your legal rights as a consumer in relation to made-to-measure Goods that are faulty or not as described.
Supply only shutters will be sense checked prior to submitting orders but SHUTTERTEC holds no responsibility for incorrect information supplied by the customer, therefore is not obliged to provide a refund or replacement.
All orders will be subject to a 24 hour processing delay. Cancellations may be made by telephone (0800 023 5754) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) in this time and a full refund will be given of any deposits paid. After this time, we assume you are happy to proceed with your order and no refunds can be given once manufacturing has commenced. The customer risks losing their deposit should they attempt to cancel to cover manufacturing costs.
Please note, whilst every effort is made to accurately reproduce the appearance of each shutter colour we stock we cannot accept any responsibility for the colour mis-representations. Different colour display settings on computer monitors can have an effect on the appearance of colours in our shutter/blind images.
Manufacturing tolerance levels of overall panel and frame specifications are plus or minus 2mm, and the product will not be considered defective if falling within the size range. Warp on any component part, vertical or horizontal, shall not exceed 1mm per 300mm.
7.6 Horizontal middle rail location: This location may be off by half a louvre.
- For 47mm louvre can be off by ±19mm.
- For 64mm louvre can be off by ±25mm.
- For 76mm louvre can be off by ± 31mm.
- For 89mm louvre can be off by ±38mm.
- For 114mm louvre can be off by ±51mm.
Should the Customer order products at different times, we (SHUTTERTEC) accept no liability for differences in product variations. Whilst every effort will be maintained for a paint match, the customer accepts that paint variations may occur.
Delivering Your Goods
-We will despatch Your Shutters as soon as the goods are ready. While We quote a lead time of 8 to 10 weeks for delivery of Your shutters, these are estimates only. Delivery dates will follow generally half way through manufacturing process by email giving you a more accurate estimation.
-Express Shutters. Additional charge of £100 per square metre. Minimum order value is £150. We will despatch Your Shutters as soon as the goods are ready. While We quote a lead time of 4 to 5 weeks for delivery of Your shutters, these are estimates only. While We make every effort to ensure that delivery times are met We cannot accept responsibility for any damage or consequential loss arising out of any delay.
-On delivery of your shutters please ensure boxes are in good condition. You must sign the couriers delivery note and if damage has occurred ensure this is noted on accepting the goods. SHUTTERTEC will not take any reasonability for goods damaged in transportation, which have not been signed for as ‘damaged’.
¬Delivery charges have been included in your price. SHUTTERTEC use their own preference on delivery company.
-Standard delivery it to UK Mainland only. Please contact us to discuss anything outside this.
–SHUTTERTEC offer no liability against incorrectly installed products by a third party. SHUTTERTEC will charge at an hourly rate of £30 and mileage charge of 45p should the customer require a service call to put right any incorrectly installed products. Any other additional costs (IE. Overnight) will be agreed and paid for prior to booking the service call.
-No liability against incorrectly measured or incorrectly specified shutters. (Unless ordered by ourselves)
-Returns of goods will only be accepted with prior notice. Return of goods can only be against manufacturing deemed defects. In the unlikely nature of a return being needed due to defects, SHUTTERTEC will offer a replacement free of charge and request return of the old part, at our expense.
If the Goods are deemed defective, We will not automatically issue You with a refund. We will offer You replacement of the Goods or a suitable alternative as deemed by us.
Payments can be made by bank transfer or secure payment over the phone. Due to all products needing to be sense checked, we do not offer online payments. Payments are only taken once ordering satisfaction has taken place between us and the customer.
